Core Contributions

As a PIP-UK Regional Volunteer Coordinator, your leadership and engagement directly influence our community initiatives and member experiences. The core contributions of the role include:

Community Building

  • First Point of Contact: Welcome new and existing members.
  • Event Organisation: Plan and execute local events to foster community bonds.

Communication

  • Member Outreach: Communicate with local members via email.
  • Social Media Engagement: Share news and updates on social media.

Online Community Management

  • Facebook Group Management: Create and maintain a regional Facebook group.
  • Safety Assurance: Verify group members are PIP-UK members.

Fundraising and Promotion

  • Fundraising Initiatives: Organize local fundraising activities.
  • Newsletter Contributions: Submit regional updates and stories.

Coordination and Support

  • WhatsApp Group: Join the Regional Coordinators’ WhatsApp group.
  • Event Coordination: Manage event costs and logistics with PIP-UK HQ.
  • Member Referrals: Refer members to PIP-UK HQ for additional support.

Welcoming New Members

  • New Member Integration: Reach out to new members and provide event information.

Key Logistics and Practicalities

Location

  • London and South Region

Time Commitment

  • Minimum of 8-10 hours per month.

Suitability

  • Confident, committed, and able to take initiative.
  • Passionate about the cause.
  • Ideally but not essentially experienced in event organising, volunteering, or advocacy.
