Stockport 10K 2013

Last year the PIP-UK team crawled out of bed on a rather wet Sunday morning and set off for Woodbank in Stockport for the 10K Legacy Event. This year we will be doing the same again on 4th August 2013. Hopefully the weather will be slightly better though!

We had a great day raising awareness for Poland Syndrome and sharing our stories with the spectators. Our runners did amazingly well and we even had some first time runners join us on the day who went on to run again for PIP-UK later the same year.

We are once again looking for runners, hoping to recreate Team PIP-UK once again. We need a team of 20 people to enable us to bring the price for entry to the race down to £12.75 from £15.00 for each runner. Registration is easy and you just need to complete our online form.

The race will have an athletic track start and finish in Woodbank Park in the centre of Stockport. Follow a beautiful rural route through woods and farmland in Goyt Valley before returning to the park (see route below).

Members of the PIP-UK team will be there supporting our team and cheering on our runners at the top of our voices. Results from the day will be published on PIP-UK site.

We look forward to welcoming back some of last years runners and meeting brand new faces. We hope to see you all there.

Rules for Entry:

  • In order to compete you must be 15 years or older.
  • Each runner is required to obtain a minimum sponsorship of £20 to help us support our charity.
  • Race registration is at 10:00 am and the race starts at 11:00 am
